 The forerunner of the piano, the Dulcimer is usually played with a pair of small
hammers(left).

 The Harmonic Flute was the ancestor of all flutes.
Having no finger holes, the notes are made by overblowing and
by stopping the end of the flute with the palm of the hand.
Thus, all notes are from the harmonic series, rather than from the
normal, convential musical scale.
